Yitzhak Rabin's photos/films - 'Filmed by Yitzhak'
This Thursday marks the 14th anniversary of the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin according to the Hebrew calendar (יא חשון).  Join us for a rare look into Yitzhak Rabin, the photographer and film maker, as reflected in this moving documentary comprised of footage he took during the 1960s.

Synopsis:
An old box is opened. Dust spreads everywhere. Inside, there are dozens of small yellow boxes. They all have Yitzhak handwritten on them. These are 8 mm. films;each one is three minutes long. Together, they form almost 10 hours of footage. Films from a different and somehow forgotten world. The sixties, as they were seen by the man who shot them. The faces, the flowers, the empty landscapes of the newly-born Israel. Some would say: "the years of innocence."

What can we learn about that man today? How did he perceive the objects caught on his camera? His friends, his family, his first trips oversees? The Queen of England riding her horse, the game parks of Africa, the empty streets of Tehran? How much did he love filming? What part did it have in his life? What do the people who were filmed back then think and feel today? Can we, as viewers, relate to the man who shot these films? Is it even relevant, that the man who held the 8 mm. camera was once Israel's beloved prime minister?
