What Drives Teens to Terror?

The perpetrators of violent terror attacks in Israel are getting increasingly younger, forcing experts to examine this shocking phenomenon in a psychological as well as political and religious context. The discovery that attacks have been carried out by youth as young as 13 years is a disturbing new element of the Israel-Arab conflict. 

Dr. Musalha is a psychologist who writes and lectures extensively on children and violent conflict. He will address the motivations behind children committing violent attacks.  

Dr. Shafiq Masalha is a senior clinical psychologist and a lecturer at the Tel Aviv and Hebrew Universities, He is also an adviser to Palestinian projects in the field of mental health. 

Dr. Masalha runs a private clinic in Jerusalem where he counsels Palestinian families from communities in the area.
