On January 17, 2022, the Jerusalem Municipality demolished a nursery yesterday in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah. The structure was illegally built on land where the municipality is planning to build a school for special-needs children, six preschool classes, activity halls and sports fields However, many media outlets and foreign diplomats are presenting the issue in an inaccurate manner.
Fleur Hassan-Nahoum answered questions about the Jerusalem Municipality’s plans for the area.
Fleur Hassan-Nahoum is an Israeli politician and policy maker. She currently serves as Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem in charge of foreign relations, international economic development and tourism. She is also the co-founder and founding member of the UAE – Israel Business Council.
