Khan al-Ahmar is home to 181 people. The community is one of the 46 Bedouin communities in Judea and Samaria/the West Bank which is at risk of being relocated. Eighteen of these communities, including Khan al Ahmar, are located in or next to the E1 area between Ma’aleh Adomim and Kfar Adomim. Many of the families that live there belong to the Jahalin tribe that originally lived in the Negev until Israel relocated them to the Ma’aleh Adumim area in the early 1950s. Last week, Israel’s Supreme Court ruled in favor of relocating the community of Khan al-Ahmar to Abu Dis.The court ruled the community was built without relevant building permits.The court said it found “no reason to intervene in the decision of the minister of defense to implement the demolition orders issued against the illegal structures in Khan al-Ahmar.”The tour will include:
