On October 22, 2017, 5 million Baha’i will celebrate the bicentennial of the birth of Baha’u’llah, the Founder of the Baha’i Faith. Bahá’u’lláh was born in Tehran in 1817. Two centuries later, the day of His birth is celebrated around the world.
The Baha’i International Center in the Jewish-Arab seaside city of Haifa draws thousands of tourists and worshipers every year.
Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav called the Baha’i shrine “the core and symbol of the tolerant and multicultural city.”
The tour will focus on Baha’i faith, history, and the relations and coexistence between Jewish and Arab residents of the city.
The tour will include:
- Briefing on Baha’i faith by a Baha’i representative
- Tour of the Holy Shrine and Gardens
- Briefing with historian (TBC)
- Lunch
Thursday October 19, 9:00am Bus will depart from the MC office 8 HaRav Kook St. Jerusalem at 9:00am.
