The Israel Europe Freedom Center (IEFC) works extensively across Europe with parliamentarians and local political leaders to thwart the growing pressure from the anti Israel BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sanction) on governments and business leaders in Europe.
Recently the IEFC lobbied Danish lawmakers, local officials and public leaders in Copenhagen to remove BDS banner ads from the side of 35 buses which called on Danes not to purchase products made in Israel. Movia, the public transport authority, complied citing that the anti-Israel ads were “unnecessarily offensive”. (The ad campaign was sponsored by the Danish Palestine Friendship League.)
Our speakers will examine the impact the BDS movement is having on European society, the Israeli economy and what measures are being taken to push back.
Will Roth, CEO of Israel-Europe Freedom center, will discuss their work in Europe especially current cooperation with Austrian legislators to pass a law prohibiting funding for anti-Israel Islamist groups.
