In an uprecedented procedure, Prime Minister Netanyahu is scheduled to appear before Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit on October 2nd and make his case, ahead of the latter’s final decision on whether to indict Netanyahu on charges of fraud and breach of trust in three separate legal investigations, as well as bribery in case 4000. Prof. Gad Barzilai will discuss Prime Minister Netanyahu’s potential strategy going in to the hearing, Attorney General Mandelblit’s options as well as the significance of the hearing’s outcome on Netanyahu’s poltical future. Gad Barzilai is a professor of law, political science and international studies, famous for his work on the politics of law, comparative law and politics, human rights and communities. Barzilai published heretofore 18 books and 173 articles in major academic refereed journals and publishing houses. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law (2012-2017) and as of November 2016, he is the Vice Provost of University of Haifa. |
