Never-Before-Seen Evidence From The Syrian Civil War with “Caesar” & Moti Kahana

March 28, 2017PAST EVENT

In 2014, a former Syrian military photographer who defected, code-named “Caesar”, published 55,000 photos, thus bringing to the world the largest trove of evidence of mass atrocities perpetrated by the regime in Syria. This led to the US Congress’s “Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act” of 2016 – bipartisan legislation that would impose new sanctions upon the Damascus regime.

Last week “Caesar” returned to the US to galvanize support for helping the Syrian people. Now, for the first time, “Caesar” is releasing, in Israel, a new batch of photos showing for the first time the torture and executions of minors, which was used as a tool to pressure their parents.

The event included:

  • An exclusive exhibition of the new photos

  • A statement by Moti Kahana, an American-Israeli businessman and philanthropist who founded the organization Amaliah.org, about his work with “Caesar”

  • A briefing by “Caesar” via Skype
