Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has called for an international conference to end the impasse in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. He said “the Palestinian issue is at the core of the conflict in the region and the world.”
The octogenarian leader rejects the calls for him to step down and in his recent speech in Bethlehem he made it clear that the PA is not going to collapse and would evolve into a State.

He is author of “The Religious Media Rhetoric and Human Rights.” Following the PA’s establishment, Ajrami joined the Information Ministry as director of Israeli affairs and later became deputy director of the foreign media department.
